EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Chris earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN in 1999. After two years in Alaska, Chris attended the University of Kansas where he earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2002 and has been working for Stellher ever since. He received his clinical license in January of 2006. During his time with Stellher he has worked in several school-based programs, the crisis program, and the outpatient program at Stellher Counseling Services.
LICENSURE: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
SPECIALTIES / AREAS OF INTEREST: Enjoys working with kids and especially helping children and families heal from traumatic events.
SPECIAL TRAINING: Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
PERSONAL INTERESTS: In my free time, I enjoy playing games with my family and spending time doing just about anything outside.
