Stellher Counseling Services provides mental health services to infants, children and adults.
Stellher Counseling Services provides mental health therapy to individuals and families who request services. Services are provided by licensed mental health professionals who include licensed independent clinical social workers and licensed professional clinical counselors. Services begin with a diagnostic assessment. A diagnostic assessment is an evaluation of a person's current life situation and sources of stress. The result is a recommendation for needed mental health services.

Self-pay and most health care plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, MN Care, Prime West, South Country Alliance, and Medical Assistance are accepted.

Stellher Counseling Services serves all clients regardless of inability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered depending on family size and income. Applications for discounted rates can be obtained at our Detroit Lakes Outpatient Office.
McKenzie Cody, MSW, LGSW – Mental Health Practitioner – Clinical Trainee
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from The University of North Dakota. I have worked as a Child Protection Case Manager; a Mental Health Practitioner, offering CTSS and ARMHS services to individuals with behavioral and mental health concerns; a Supervisor and Direct Support Professional working with adults with developmental and cognitive disabilities; and have worked with adults involved in the correctional system. I was recently trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
LICENSURE: Licensed Graduate Social Worker, Mental Health Practitioner/Clinical Trainee
SPECIALTY: I enjoy providing individual therapy to a variety of populations including; children, adolescents, young adult through late adulthood using solution focused, person-centered, trauma-informed, and cognitive-behavioral modalities. My areas of specialty are with adolescents through young adulthood, especially those with behavioral difficulties, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, and children and their families involved with the child protection and foster care systems.
Gretchen Slavicek – Mental Health Practitioner – Clinical Trainee
I earned my B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from MSUM (May 2000). I have worked in education, as a licensed teacher, for 15 years with 12 of those years teaching preschool at a private school, and 3 years working in the public school as a Parent Educator. Currently I am in my 3rd year at Capella University working towards my Master in Marriage and Family Therapy. Graduation date (December 20, 2018).

SPECIALTY: I enjoy working with all ages including those experiencing family conflict, divorce, infidelity, blended families, anxiety, depression and behavioral problems.
